Job summary

Chartwell Retirement Residences is seeking a Guest Attendant to provide compassionate personal care and daily living support for residents. You will assist with mobility, routines, meals, and ensure a safe, respectful environment emphasizing dignity.

The role requires experience in care-related services, strong empathy, and good communication. A foundation in hygiene and safety is essential, with opportunities for growth within Chartwell’s welcoming communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care, laundry, food service, or support services.
• Secondary school education; post-secondary training in a care field preferred.
• Ability to read, follow, and communicate instructions effectively.
• Demonstrated empathy, patience, and understanding of seniors’ needs.
• Maintain high hygiene standards and work safely with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily routines.
• Support with laundry, light housekeeping, and meals.
• Administer medications and follow care plans.
• Keep resident areas clean, safe and compliant with health protocols.
• Respond to concerns and report to Health and Wellness Manager as needed.
