Position Title: Residence Services Associate - Lakeshore (Overnight Shift, 12AM - 8AM)
Status: FT Support
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Academic Year: Monday - Friday, 12:00AM - 8:00AM; Summer Conference Season: Hours may be adjusted to accommodate operational needs; During mandatory training period: Hours will be adjusted.)

Starting Salary: $24.96
Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband.

Within Residence Services, our dedicated team oversees key portfolios: Residence Admissions, Residence Operations, Front Desk & Summer Operations, and Residence Life. Together, we deliver exceptional service and foster a connected, inclusive, and thriving living environment.
About The Residence Services Associate Role
Under the guidance of the Manager, Residence Front Desk & Summer Operations, the Residence Services Associate supports the operation of Front Desk services for students during the academic year and conference services during the summer months. The Residence Services Associate maintains up-to-date student and guest information using appropriate software applications; acts as the main information resource for students, guests, conference guests, and contractors; and directs calls, visitors, and contractors to the right place or staff person. Effective ongoing communication with the conference team, residence administrative staff, residence assistants, and maintenance and housekeeping staff is essential in ensuring guest and student/guest service standards are met. This position signs in contractors and guests, ensures residents show their residence card upon entry, and distributes mail. During mandatory staff training, hours may vary.

Education
The successful candidate will possess a one-year certificate or equivalent in Public Relations or Hospitality.
Experience/Skills
- Minimum of two years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a hotel or front desk environment.
- Ability to demonstrate the following: excellent interpersonal, listening and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating confidence and good judgment including the ability to respond appropriately during an emergency or when dealing with difficult people or situations.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake tasks and duties according to procedures and standard processes.
- Computer literacy with knowledge of e-mail software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Consistent attention to detail.
