Job Title: Reserves Engineer
Location: Calgary, AB
Length: 1-year contract (with potential extension)
Rotation: Monday–Friday, full-time

Description:

NES Fircroft is seeking a Reserves Engineer to join the Planning & Integration Team within the Integrated Gas business in Calgary. The role involves supporting the Annual Review of Petroleum Resources (ARPR) by ensuring accurate estimation, classification, and reporting of reserves and resources across Canadian Integrated Gas assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Estimate, classify, and report reserves and resources according to client standards.
  2. Support controls, assurance processes, and quarterly reporting such as In-Year Bookings, RCCN, eRCCN, and Reserves Endorsement Sessions.
  3. Collaborate with the Country Reserves Focal Point and asset teams to develop hydrocarbon maturation plans and ensure organizational alignment.
  4. Assist in production and CAPEX/OPEX forecasts, considering complex risk profiles associated with new facility startups.
  5. Lead preparations for internal and external audits.
  6. Maintain and improve existing workflows, promoting continuous process improvement.
  7. Support other Planning & Integration activities related to Factory delivery and asset performance.
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Degree in Engineering, preferably Reservoir Engineering or Technician background.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and proactive skills for efficiency and innovation.
  • Ability to adopt new systems and optimize workflows.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Mastery of Excel; experience with ValNav is a strong asset.
  • Capability to manage high workloads during peak periods and collaborate effectively with teams.
