This position is responsible for managing and administering the research funding activities of WGRF.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, manage, and administer crop research funding programs and projects.
2. Collaborate with funding agencies and partners to identify research priorities, review proposals, and develop funding agreements.
3. Interact with research institutions to negotiate and draft research funding agreements, review reports, and arrange payments.
4. Administer shared files and spreadsheets to support financial and program reporting, contract obligations, and communication needs.

Provide support for WGRF programming and decision-making processes:

1. Receive and screen Letters of Intent/Proposals, providing background information for decision-making.
2. Gather and analyze information, offering recommendations for programs, policies, and initiatives.
3. Support communication of research statistics and outcomes.
4. Assist in preparing meeting agendas, briefing notes, reports, and recording minutes.
5. Implement Board decisions and Committee recommendations as directed by the Executive Director.

Work collaboratively as part of the WGRF team:

1. Interact effectively with staff, Board, Committees, member organizations, funding agencies, and research institutions.
2. Represent WGRF at meetings and events, promoting its role as a leading funder of crop research.
3. Adhere to Board decisions, policies, and procedures.
4. Stay informed on research priorities and crop production issues.
5. Maintain professional development in accordance with SIA standards.
