Job summary

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) invites applications for a Research MRI Technologist. You will support MRI-based biomedical research under the guidance of Dr.

Matthias Friedrich and the project team, ensuring protocol compliance and patient safety. Responsibilities include operating MRI scanners, conducting QC tests, preparing participants, and coordinating with researchers.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of French required; English competency necessary for interactions with researchers and international students.
• Experience performing MRI procedures and safety screening.
• Registered with the Professional Order of Medical Technologists of Quebec.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners following the research protocol.
• Perform basic quality control testing and equipment warm-up.
• Ensure proper participant preparation and MRI safety screening.
• Inject MRI contrast media (IV certified) as required.
• Report incidents and participate in follow-up actions.
• Participate in education programs and review protocols.
