Research Manager - TAY Cohort Study, Clinical Research

Position Overview

We are seeking a full-time, 12-month contract Research Manager to support the Toronto Adolescent and Youth (TAY) CAMH Cohort study, a 5-year project recruiting 1,500 youth to identify those at highest risk for psychosis and examine related outcomes. The Research Manager will oversee neuropsychological, cognitive, biological, and imaging components, reporting to the study PIs and Research Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support study operations, coordination, and planning of sub-studies.
  • Collaborate with investigators and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables.
  • Manage human resources, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of staff involved in various study components.
  • Handle fiscal management and reporting for sub-studies.
  • Monitor performance indicators and support quality and safety initiatives.
  • Coordinate research projects, regulatory submissions, and grant applications.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and quality assurance standards.
  • Oversee participant recruitment, enrollment, and protocol adherence.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures and support contractual agreements.
  • Assist in disseminating research findings.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in psychology, neuroscience, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant research experience and 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Experience working with individuals/families with mental health issues.
  • Leadership, project management, and staff mentorship skills.
  • Knowledge of research regulations (ICH GCP, TCPS2, Health Canada, FDA).
  • Experience with neuropsychological and neuroimaging assessments.
  • Proficiency with data management tools like REDCap, MS Access, Excel.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Bilingualism or proficiency in a second language is an asset.

Additional Details

This is a non-unionized, full-time contract position based at 1001 Queen Street West, with occasional travel. Salary is competitive and includes benefits. Apply before the deadline; late applications will not be considered.
