About the team:

The Software-Hardware System Optimization Lab continuously improves the power efficiency and performance of smartphone products through software-hardware systems optimization and architecture innovation. We focus on cutting-edge technologies, building competitive strength in mobile AI, virtualization, graphics, multimedia, and software architecture for mobile phone products.

About the job:

• Design and implement prototypes for multimedia (audio, image, video) acceleration frameworks for AI SoC chips.
• Design and implement prototypes for camera systems and ISP firmware for AI SoC chips.
• Design and implement prototypes for middleware for AI SoC chips.
• Contribute to defining and designing integrated software-hardware (chipset) solutions for applications such as robotics, HPC, and automotive.
• Contribute novel ideas to improve serving efficiency and publish findings when applicable.

The target annual compensation ranges from $78,000 to $168,000, depending on education, experience, and expertise.

Job requirements:

About the ideal candidate:

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Math/Statistics, Electronics Engineering, focusing on embedded systems, software development, or related areas.
• 3+ years of experience in C/C++ in a Linux environment.
• Knowledge of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and AI.
• Familiarity with Linux kernel.
• Hands-on programming skills in C++, C, and Python.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and presentations.
• Experience with embedded systems (ARM), Linux kernel, or machine learning libraries is an asset.
