About the team:

The Software-Hardware System Optimization Lab continuously improves the power efficiency and performance of smartphone products through software-hardware systems optimization and architecture innovation. We keep tracking the trends of cutting-edge technologies, building the competitive strength of mobile AI, virtualization, graphics, multimedia, and software architecture for mobile phone products.

About the job:

1. Design and implement prototypes multi-media (audio, image and video) acceleration framework for AI SoC chips.
2. Design and implement prototypes camera system and ISP firmware for AI SoC chips.
3. Design and implement prototypes middleware for AI SoC chips.
4. Contribute to define and design of integrated software-hardware (chipset) solutions for various applications such as robotics, HPC, and automotive.

The target annual compensation (based on 2080 hours per year) ranges from $78,000 to $168,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated expertise.

About the ideal candidate:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math/Statistics, Electronics Engineering, focusing on embedded systems, software development, and related areas.
2. 3+ years working experience in C/C++ in a Linux environment.
3. Familiar with Linux kernel.
4. Hands-on programming skills in C++/C/Python.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and presentation.
6. Working experience on embedded system (ARM) Linux kernel or machine learning lib implementation is an asset.
