Job summary

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre’s Cognitive Brain Health Lab seeks a full-time Research Analyst to join Dr. Jennifer Rabin’s team.

You will manage large datasets, develop reproducible data workflows, and perform quality control and statistical analyses using R, Python, MATLAB, and Linux environments. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, contribute to publications, and help prepare analysis-ready datasets across menopause-related brain health studies.

Qualifications

• Completion of a scientific degree with relevant research experience.
• Experience with data management, quality control, and harmonization of complex datasets.
• Proficiency in R and Python for data analysis.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix computing environments (SSH, file transfers, permissions).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining reproducible data ingestion and harmonization workflows.
• Writing and executing R, Python, MATLAB, or shell scripts for cleaning and database management.
• Creating SOPs and documentation for data management and reproducible research.
• Performing statistical analyses in R, Python, or MATLAB to support projects.
• Running database queries and generating descriptive summaries from large datasets.
• Contributing to conference abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts.
• Assisting with neuroimaging data processing as needed.
