Morphocell Technologies Inc. is seeking a Research Associate I/II to support the Preclinical Translation team in advancing cell therapies. You will execute in vivo and in vitro studies, generate robust data, and contribute to clinically relevant disease models under senior supervision.

Position Overview:
As a Research Associate on the Preclinical Translation team, you will play a central role in assessing the safety and efficacy of our groundbreaking treatments. Your expertise will shape development of clinically relevant disease models through execution of preclinical studies. Key Responsibilities:
Hands-on execution of murine studies, including surgery, IP/SC injection, in-life monitoring, mouse handling, blood collection and necropsy.
Perform basic cell characterization techniques including qPCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, and potency assays, including data analysis.
Prepare common reagents, buffers, and inventory of consumables.
Carry out cell culture in aseptic conditions, with an understanding of adherent cell lines in 2D culture systems and/or 3D environments.
Operate analytic equipment and instruments and contribute to their upkeep and maintenance.
Adhere, evaluate and contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Design and document comprehensive data collection sheets to ensure accurate and detailed recording of experimental data
Actively contribute to workplace safety and related policies, including taking on available roles within the organization to ensure compliance.
Serve as a functional representative in company-wide roles, including safety officer, and actively participate in lab operations meetings and other related activities
Collaborate closely within and across teams and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, scientific rigor, respect, and trust.
Qualifications:
MSc or BSc (with 1+ years of relative experience) in Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
Hands on experience with in vivo rodent models, including basic mouse handling practices, in-life monitoring, substance administration. Any experience with surgical procedures is considered an asset.
Experience in cultivating, characterizing, and/or banking cells. Any experience handling human primary cells, differentiation protocols and/or iPSC culture techniques is considered an asset.
Hands on experience in independently executing analytics (flow cytometry, qPCR, and ELISAs).
Analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, as well as proactively identify risks and propose mitigation solutions.
Previous exposure to cell therapy or working with in vitro and/or in vivo models is highly desirable.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Well organized with efficient time management skills.
