Join the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), a world-renowned biomedical research centre in Montreal, Quebec. We are part of the MUHC and affiliated with McGill University's Faculty of Medicine, supported by FRQS.

Position Summary

Department: Obstetrics and Gynecology/Child Health and Human Development. The project focuses on studying the impact of monosomy X on chromatin organization using mouse models, including techniques like ChIP-seq.

Responsibilities

• Perform ChIP experiments on mouse tissues.
• Conduct quantitative PCR and basic lab maintenance.
• Analyze literature, published data, and bioinformatics databases.
• Contribute to manuscript writing, presentations, and dissemination.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Skills in biochemistry, molecular biology techniques, PCR, DNA/RNA work, and bioinformatics tools like NCBI, Ensembl, UCSC.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of R is an asset.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams.

Additional Information

Status: Temporary, part-time (14-21 hours/week). Pay: $27.32 - $50.74/hour, commensurate with experience. Schedule: Variable, 2-3 days/week, 9 am-5 pm. Location: GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie.
