Research Assistant 2 - Institute for Mental Health Policy Research

Join to apply for the Research Assistant 2 - Institute for Mental Health Policy Research role at CAMH.

The Biobehavioural Addictions and Concurrent Disorders Research Laboratory (BACDRL) in the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) is seeking a casual Research Assistant 2. The incumbent will report to the Research Manager and join a highly productive CIHR-funded clinical research team investigating psychosis, mood disorders, and substance use through a multi-modal approach including brain stimulation and neurocognitive assessments, with a focus on cannabis abstinence studies to probe the role of cannabis and cannabinoids in major depressive disorder.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting and scheduling human participants
  • Assisting with study visits
  • Data entry
  • Potentially assisting with other administrative duties as necessary

This position is located at 33 Ursula Franklin Street and may require some travel to 1001 Queen Street West.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of Community College education in health or social sciences; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • At least one year of experience in patient-oriented mental health, addictions, or concurrent disorders research
  • Knowledge and experience with REDCap is an asset
  • Proficiency in PC hardware and software, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, inter-professional team environment
