Job Description

The Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention is seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst. The incumbent will report to the Manager and join a productive team in one of the world’s leading centres in treatment, research, and training related to brain stimulation therapies. The team specializes in clinical treatment trials and neurophysiology studies to provide insights into brain function in individuals with psychiatric disorders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Administering brain stimulation protocols and neurophysiological paradigms, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Paired Associative Stimulation (PAS), Electroencephalogram (EEG), and Electromyography (EMG).
  • Working with neuronavigation software and protocols.
  • Supporting research procedures for randomized controlled trials assessing efficacy and safety of therapies.
  • Conducting clinical and cognitive assessments, participant recruitment, and data management.
  • Scheduling visits, escorting participants, transporting samples, maintaining records, and assisting with regulatory submissions.

This position is based at 1025 Queen Street West with travel between sites. Flexibility in working hours is required to accommodate participant schedules.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field.
  • At least one year of relevant experience, preferably in an academic or neurophysiological setting.
  • Skills in neurophysiological procedures related to brain stimulation.
  • Experience with neuropsychological assessments and clinical scales is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use challenges is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research.
  • Bilingualism or proficiency in a second language is an asset.

Vaccination against COVID-19 and other diseases is required unless exempted for medical reasons.
