Research Analyst Position

The Schizophrenia Division is seeking an enthusiastic individual for a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst role to assist with clinical research projects intersecting mental illness, obesity, and glucose dysmetabolism. Responsibilities include:

  1. Scheduling human subjects' interviews, screening eligible research subjects, administering clinical rating scales, and functional assessments.
  2. Conducting neurocognitive assessments, anthropometric measures, physiological tests of glucose metabolism, and measurements of satiety/eating behaviors.
  3. Assisting in recruitment, maintaining subject records, data entry, database management, and preparing data for presentations and publications.
  4. Supporting laboratory visits, procedural visits (e.g., MRI scans), and accompanying subjects to visits.
  5. Assisting with regulatory submissions, preparing budgets, progress reports, and PowerPoint presentations.
  6. Performing other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in neuroscience, health science, social work, or physiology.
  • One (1) year of relevant clinical or research experience with mental health and/or addiction issues.
  • Experience with neuropsychological assessments, clinical rating scales, and data analysis in R and SPSS.
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, database software, and Endnote.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with diverse populations; bilingualism is an asset.
