Reports and Communications Specialist Senior - FEMA PA

We are pleased to announce that CCPRS has secured the next 5-year Public Assistance Technical Assistance Contract V (PA TAC V) in the West zones, supporting FEMA disaster operations nationwide. Through this contract, SOL Engineering Services, LLC seeks a Senior Reports and Communication Specialist to support FEMA's Public Assistance Program, especially in disaster response and recovery efforts.

IMPORTANT NOTE : Public Assistance (PA) experience is required, with at least 1 year of deployment at regional, state, or local levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit reports, documents, and publications related to FEMA's PA Program, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to FEMA standards.
• Analyze data from various sources to support report preparation and use data visualization tools to present complex information effectively.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in writing, editing, and communications, preferably in emergency management or disaster response.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant software.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to pass an FBI background check.
• Strong understanding of FEMA regulations and policies related to Public Assistance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to mobilize within 24-48 hours for a minimum 90-day deployment in remote / disaster areas.
• Ability to work across teams, meet deadlines, and work in varied terrains and locations.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience in providing excellent customer service, with strong communication skills.
• Previous roles in FEMA's PA Program, such as Site Inspectors, Program Managers, or FEMA-certified Trainers.
• Completed relevant FEMA training courses related to disaster response and public assistance.
