Job summary

The Globe and Mail is seeking an experienced Ottawa-based political/economics reporter to cover breaking policy news, develop sources across government and business, and produce clear, deadline-driven prose. You will pitch ideas, collaborate across desks, and contribute to subscriber events, with versatility across hard news and features.

  • Strong writing with versatile range—from hard news to human-interest features to explanatory pieces.
  • Comfortable working in formats including live blogs, newsletters, video and audio.

Responsibilities

  • Cover breaking and live economic and energy policy news from Ottawa on deadline.
