Job summary

Jobtailor in Toronto is seeking a senior editor to commission and edit high-impact journalism focused on Canada’s defining issues, working closely with reporters and external subject-matter experts to shape reporting that examines causes, consequences, policy options and potential solutions.

You will coordinate complex editorial projects across multiple platforms and formats, support the delivery of analysis, reporting and debate components for flagship projects, and collaborate with audience,

Qualifications

• At least five years of senior editing experience at a major publication or newsroom.
• Demonstrated editorial judgment and attention to detail.
• Expertise in long-form, explanatory or enterprise journalism.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Interest in public policy, business and societal issues.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
