Metroland is participating in Canada’s 'Local Journalism Initiative', which promotes local journalism in underserved communities across Canada.
The Almaguin News seeks an energetic reporter with a journalism degree or equivalent for a unique opportunity.
During this temporary full-time contract ending September 30, 2025, you will produce 5-7 stories weekly for online publication at www.northbaynipissing.com. Your work may also appear in other Metroland outlets and be shared via the LJI portal.
The position is remote, but you must be available for interviews and photography in the region.
Your salary, paid through a government grant, ranges from $37,850.13 to $56,829.84.
The successful candidate will focus on community issues affecting the region and civic institutions.
