Job summary

Sobeys in Fall River, NS is seeking a Night Shift Grocery Clerk to support customer service after hours. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and efficiency in stocking, checkout, and back-of-house tasks.

You will work nights, handle lifting up to 20 lbs, and contribute to a clean, well-merchandised store while delivering friendly service. Evening/weekend availability is required to match store needs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives
• Order, receive, and merchandise stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures
• Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs
• Increase store sales by actively promoting featured products
• Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, keeping work area clean and presentable as per Company requirements
• Prep Customer orders, as required
• Process department shrink, as required
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Other duties as required

Shifts may include 9pm-5am, 10pm-6am and midnight to 8am

The Grocery Clerk is responsible for carrying out the full range of duties of the position in a professional, responsible, accurate and timely fashion. The Clerk will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs, and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
