Job summary

Sobeys in Estevan, Saskatchewan is seeking a Grocery Clerk to perform a full range of duties with professionalism and timely execution. You will deliver exceptional customer service, support stock management, and foster a safe, engaging store environment for customers and employees alike.

In this role you will merchandise stock, promote featured products, maintain clean work areas, and assist in training junior staff.

• May be required to lift up to 20 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Food Safety Protocols, SOPs, Health & Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives
• Order, receive, and merchandise stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures, as required
• Provide superior customer service to meet customer needs
• Increase store sales by actively promoting featured products
• Perform back shop and retail floor maintenance, keeping work area clean and presentable as per Company requirements
• Prep Customer orders, as required
• Process department shrink, as required
• Participate in the training of junior staff
• Other duties as required

The Clerk will deliver exceptional customer service, foster customer loyalty, fulfill customer needs, and actively contribute to an environment of employee and customer engagement.
