Job summary

Driving Force Fleet Solutions in Terrace is seeking a Part-Time Rental Consultant to join the rentals team. You will greet customers, handle calls, emails and queries with professionalism and efficiency, and manage reservations, quotes, agreements and payments.

You’ll perform vehicle inspections, ensure availability, prepare units for delivery, and maintain clear communication about terms and conditions, working with a friendly, customer-focused team.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail customer-service experience preferred.
• Experience in the automotive or rental industry is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greets customers and handles phone calls, emails, and queries with professionalism and efficiency.
• Provide exceptional service throughout the rental process, from managing reservations, generating quotes for short-term rentals, finalizing rental agreements, processing payments, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers, ensuring they are well-informed about rental terms and conditions before requesting signatures on all relevant documents.
• Conduct thorough walk-around inspections with customers, obtaining their authorization via signature.
• Perform daily checks on the drop box, processing rental returns, evaluating vehicle’s condition upon return, and offering recommendations for necessary maintenance if repairs are deemed necessary.
• Ensure vehicle availability and prepare rental units for delivery, including driving, cleaning, and fueling vehicles as needed.

We are currently looking for a Part-Time Rental Consultant to join our rentals team at Driving Force Fleet Solutions in our Terrace location.

What You Bring:

• You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.
• Abstract acceptable to The Driving Force Group of Companies Driver and Vehicle Safety Program.
• Clear pre-employment security clearance.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with keen attention to detail.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
