Job summary

The Driving Force Fleet Solutions in Mississauga is looking for a Rental Consultant to join our rentals team. You will greet customers, manage reservations and payments, explain terms, and ensure smooth documentation and communication throughout the rental process.

You’ll perform inspections, process returns, and prepare vehicles for delivery, while maintaining high service standards and strong attention to detail. This full-time role offers growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail customer-service experience preferred.
• Experience in automotive or rental industry is an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and handle calls, emails, and queries professionally.
• Manage reservations, quotes, leases, payments, and paperwork.
• Explain terms and obtain signatures on documents.
• Conduct vehicle walk-around inspections with customers.
• Run daily drop-box checks, process returns, and assess needed maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for delivery, including driving, cleaning, fueling.

We are currently looking for aRental Consultant to join our rentals team at Driving Force Fleet Solutions in our Mississauga location.

What You’ll Do:

• Warmly greets customers and handles phone calls, emails, and queries with professionalism and efficiency.
• Provide exceptional service throughout the rental process, from managing reservations, generating quotes for short-term rentals, finalizing rental agreements, processing payments, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers, ensuring they are well-informed about rental terms and conditions before requesting signatures on all relevant documents.
• Conduct thorough walk-around inspections with customers, obtaining their authorization via signature.
• Perform daily checks on the drop box, processing rental returns, evaluating vehicle’s condition upon return, and offering recommendations for necessary maintenance if repairs are deemed necessary.
• Ensure vehicle availability and prepare rental units for delivery, including driving, cleaning, and fueling vehicles as needed.

What You Bring:

• 1 year's retail customer-service experience is preferred.
• Experience in the automotive or rental industry is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Strong computer skills and you know your way around Microsoft Office.
• You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.
• Abstract acceptable to The Driving Force Group of Companies Driver and Vehicle Safety Program.
• Clear pre-employment security clearance.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with keen attention to detail.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
