Job summary

Driving Force Fleet Solutions in Burnaby is seeking a Rental Consultant to join the rentals team. You will warmly greet customers, handle inquiries, manage reservations, quotes, agreements and payments, and keep customers informed of terms before signatures.

You will perform vehicle walk-arounds, assess return conditions, and prepare units for delivery. A valid Class 5 license, strong organization, and retail experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail customer-service experience preferred.
• Experience in automotive or rental industry is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with multitasking ability.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and handle calls, emails, and queries professionally.
• Manage reservations, quotes for short-term rentals, and rental agreements.
• Process payments and related paperwork.
• Communicate terms and obtain signatures on documents.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and assess return condition.
• Prepare and deliver rental units, including driving, cleaning, and fueling as needed.

We are currently looking for aRental Consultant to join our rentals team at Driving Force Fleet Solutions in our Burnaby location.

What You’ll Do:

• Warmly greets customers and handles phone calls, emails, and queries with professionalism and efficiency.
• Provide exceptional service throughout the rental process, from managing reservations, generating quotes for short-term rentals, finalizing rental agreements, processing payments, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers, ensuring they are well-informed about rental terms and conditions before requesting signatures on all relevant documents.
• Conduct thorough walk-around inspections with customers, obtaining their authorization via signature.
• Perform daily checks on the drop box, processing rental returns, evaluating vehicle’s condition upon return, and offering recommendations for necessary maintenance if repairs are deemed necessary.
• Ensure vehicle availability and prepare rental units for delivery, including driving, cleaning, and fueling vehicles as needed.

What You Bring:

• 1 year's retail customer-service experience is preferred.
• Experience in the automotive or rental industry is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Strong computer skills and you know your way around Microsoft Office.
• You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.
• Abstract acceptable to The Driving Force Group of Companies Driver and Vehicle Safety Program.
• Clear pre-employment security clearance.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with keen attention to detail.
• A valid Class 5 Driver’s License
