Job summary

Pier 4 in Cambridge, Canada, seeks a hands-on Renovations Lead to manage apartment turnover and renovation projects across a growing residential portfolio. You will lead a team of renovation professionals, coordinate contractors, and ensure projects finish on time, within budget, and to rent-ready standards.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in residential renovations, proven leadership, and strong contractor management skills, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in residential renovations, construction, property operations, or related fields.
• Proven experience managing multiple renovations, turnover, or capital improvement projects simultaneously.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience managing teams and employee performance.
• Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, schedules, and project resources.
• Strong understanding of renovation processes, project sequencing, and rent-ready standards.
• Hands-on experience within construction, renovations, maintenance, or skilled trades.
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Property Management, Business Administration, or related discipline is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee residential suite turnover and renovation projects across multiple properties.
• Manage 15 active unit turnovers simultaneously, within schedule and budget, to Pier 4 quality standards.
• Monitor project timelines, inspections, approvals, and completion milestones via MIQ.
• Track turnover performance, vacancy timelines, and KPIs to drive efficiency.
• Conduct quality inspections and address delays, resource constraints, and operational challenges.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of renovation professionals (min 6 employees).
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, trades, and materials to support project delivery.
• Maintain accurate project records, reporting, and updates; analyze KPIs for improvements.
