Job summary

Smile Digital Health in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Technical Implementations Lead to drive high‑impact, integrated technical delivery for our customers. You will oversee delivery, collaborate with core development, product management, and support to improve performance, scalability, and security of our solutions.

You will guide implementations, configure the Smile platform, and provide architectural guidance while staying current with HL7/FHIR standards, Kubernetes, Java, and cloud

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java and JavaScript development.
• Proven expertise in Spring, REST, SQL, and Git.
• 3+ years of designing, developing, and delivering software solutions independently and with a team.
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills with analytical problem solving.
• Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to support implementation projects within Smile's products and services.
• Configure the Smile platform, script, troubleshoot, design technical solutions, and provide architectural guidance.
• Develop expertise in Smile’s core technologies and standards (HL7, FHIR, OpenID Connect, Kubernetes, Java, JavaScript, JSON, XML).
• Balance concurrent projects and escalate requests to leadership when needed.
• Support professional services and oversee technical solution delivery for Smile customers.
• Participate in on-call rotation and help with RFIs/RFPs.
