Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Contract Sourcer to build strong candidate pipelines for our sales team across the AMER region in a fully remote, distributed company. You'll focus on finding passive candidates for Account Executive roles, while partnering with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and market dynamics.

You'll map talent markets, engage diverse candidate pools, and ensure a high-quality candidate experience while collaborating across time zones and using GitLab

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in recruiting and/or sourcing, including direct experience sourcing passive candidates in a fully outbound environment.
• Experience sourcing for Account Executive and other sales roles, ideally within the software industry.
• Strong research skills and the ability to identify, map, and engage talent across competitive regional and global markets.
• Experience working directly with recruiters and hiring managers to align on hiring needs and adjust sourcing strategies as priorities change.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust across teams, candidates, and time zones.
• Strong organization skills and comfort managing multiple searches, deadlines, and competing priorities.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools. Experience with Greenhouse or LinkedIn Recruiter is ideal.
• Comfort working remotely in an asynchronous environment, along with willingness to learn and use tools such as GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Source and engage passive candidates for sales roles across the AMER region, primarily for Account Executive positions.
• Build representative candidate pipelines with focus on identifying talent from diverse backgrounds for GitLab.
• Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements and ideal candidate profiles.
• Map talent markets and gather intelligence on competitors and candidate pools to inform sourcing.
• Assess candidate alignment and share recommendations with recruiting partners.
• Screen and qualify candidates, maintaining talent benches across multiple countries in the AMER region.
• Deliver a strong candidate experience through outreach, communication, and relationship building.
• Continuously improve sourcing workflows and research methods to increase efficiency and quality.
• Maintain accurate candidate data in applicant tracking systems and stay open to new tools.
