Job summary

Lightspeed Commerce in Canada is seeking a Lead Strategic Financial Analyst to join our Finance team across North America. You will tackle open-ended questions, build models from the ground up, and present clear recommendations to senior leadership.

You will work with SQL and BI tools, understand multiple revenue streams, improve forecasting, and own monthly/quarterly rhythms. EST/EDT hours apply; strong collaboration and career growth are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to bring structure to ambiguity
• Sound financial modelling skills, including driver-based models and three-statement analysis
• Experience working with data directly, including SQL or an equivalent querying tool and a BI platform

Responsibilities

• Take on complex, open-ended questions spanning multiple parts of the business
• Understand how different businesses monetize, identify key growth drivers and assess sustainability
• Build financial models and analyses from ground up to answer strategic questions
• Find, access and validate data, including SQL and BI tools
• Improve forecasting in-year and long-range with stronger methodologies
• Own monthly and quarterly finance rhythm with business partners
• Turn complex analysis into clear recommendations for leadership
