Job summary

Welo Data is seeking a meticulous QC Specialist to review AI data annotation tasks. You will validate Trainer submissions against images and golden answers, flag issues, and provide constructive feedback to uphold data quality. This freelance, remote role offers 10 hours weekly and payment at $28.8 per hour.

Ideal candidates are detail-focused with strong Somali proficiency and solid English feedback writing skills, plus a Bachelor’s degree and reliable internet access.

Qualifications

• Native/Strong proficiency in Somali is required.
• Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
• Strong reading comprehension and visual observation abilities.
• Ability to apply guidelines consistently and objectively.
• Strong written English communication for giving feedback.
• QA, editing, proofreading, or data review experience is a plus.
• Reliable access to a computer and internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Review completed Trainer tasks (question, image, golden answer).
• Independently verify correctness of the golden answer against the image.
• Identify and flag incorrect, incomplete, or ambiguous responses.
• Provide clear feedback and corrections to maintain data quality.
• Track recurring error patterns and report to the project team.
• Ensure Trainer output meets quality bar before final sign-off.
• Escalate unclear cases to the project team for resolution.
