This remote, part‑time contract role serves as a final quality assurance layer in the data pipeline. You will review and refine the work of other annotators and the AI model itself.

Key Details

• Job Title: Annotation Quality Editor (Remote)
• Location: Remote within the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Australia & New Zealand (you must be legally authorised to work in the country where you are based)
• Compensation: $15 – $18 per hour based on location, experience, responsibilities, and performance

Role Overview

We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients, a leading global player in the AI space. Your primary goal is to audit datasets for errors, inconsistencies, and deviations from complex guidelines, ensuring that only the highest quality “ground truth” data is used for training.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit batches of annotated data (prompts and responses) to ensure they strictly adhere to project guidelines and style manuals.
• Correct grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and formatting inconsistencies in both prompts and AI responses.
• Provide constructive feedback on annotation accuracy to help improve the overall quality of the data pool.
• Edit AI responses to ensure they are safe, helpful, and honest, removing any toxic or biased content that may have been missed in previous rounds.
• Assist in updating Quality Assurance (QA) guidelines by identifying common trends in errors or ambiguous edge cases.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Quality Assurance (QA), editing, or proofreading (experience in data annotation processes is a plus).
• Exceptional command of English grammar, punctuation, and syntax with an “eagle eye” for detail.
• Ability to internalize complex rule sets and apply them consistently across large volumes of text.
• Strong analytical skills to determine why an annotation is incorrect and how to fix it according to the guidelines.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing time across multiple projects.

Compensation and Benefits

• Rate: Earn up to $18 USD/hr (rates vary based on project complexity and expertise).
• Flexibility: 100% remote with no fixed schedule. Contributors typically spend 5–10 hours per week, with the option to work up to 40 hours.
