Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers for a fully remote hourly contract in Montreal to build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code. You will write solutions, review AI outputs, and provide expert-level feedback that makes AI coding assistants smarter, safer, and more reliable.

This on-demand role focuses on hands-on engineering at the frontier of AI development, with 10-40 hours per week and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or a related field.
• Able to read, write, and reason about code with clarity and precision.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across multiple languages and domains.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability.
• Identify bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured, detailed feedback explaining why code works or not.
• Design prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
