Job summary

BrightOrder Inc. is seeking a Software Manager to lead a talented development team building and enhancing the EMDECS platforms. You will own the full software delivery lifecycle, mentor engineers, and contribute production code while shaping the technical roadmap.

The role requires 5+ years in software development and 3+ years in management, strong AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, and full-stack skills. This fully remote position is Canada-based.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years managing and coaching software engineers in a team environment.
• 5+ years hands-on software engineering experience writing production code.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Backend development with .NET or Node.js and frontend with React/TypeScript.
• Experience leading Agile/Scrum delivery and production operations.
• Eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach the software engineering team for high performance.
• Own delivery planning, sprint execution, and release management.
• Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to define the roadmap.
• Drive architecture decisions and enforce quality standards.
• Oversee production reliability and incident response.
• Contribute hands-on to backend/frontend code, focusing on AWS.
