Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Associate Architect - Software Developer based in Canada to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable Java-based microservices and modern web applications. You will work across backend and frontend technologies (Spring Boot, React/Angular/Vue), drive API development, testing, and performance improvements, and mentor engineers in a remote, ETZ-aligned environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional Java software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience building backend microservices with Spring Boot.
• Experience developing frontend apps with React/Angular/Vue.js.
• Relational databases like MySQL and SQL Server.
• Designing robust RESTful APIs and automated testing.
• Experience with AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot).
• Proven Git and collaboration in teams.

Responsibilities

• Determine, prioritize, and manage engineering deliverables across the full software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine technical specs and product requirements.
• Architect and develop scalable Java backend systems and microservices.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend microservices.
• Build responsive frontend components using React/Angular/Vue.js.
• Automate workflows and improve development processes.
• Troubleshoot complex systems and optimize performance.
• Apply test-driven development and automated testing practices.
• Conduct peer code reviews and drive continuous improvement across teams.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to align architecture with standards.
