Job summary

Wolseley Canada is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join our audit teams, spanning Field and Corporate functions. The role will lead field audits across our branch network in Canada and support US locations as needed, ensuring quality and effective control testing.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in audit, strong data analytics skills, and proficiency with PowerBI, Visio and related tools. The role is fully remote within Canada and requires travel to US sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related area; advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in internal/external audit, accounting, or finance.
• Experience running/leading small teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office including PowerBI and Visio; knowledge of Workday, AuditBoard/Optro, Oracle, Sage X3 is a plus.
• Experience in a remote environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes the audit program; documents walkthroughs and tests; gathers evidence to support conclusions.
• Drafts engagement findings and assists with compiling into a draft report and distributing results to management.
• Leads audit engagements and discusses risk mitigation with management.
• Performs first-level review of workpapers and provides coaching to audit team.
• Evaluates governance, risk management and control processes across financial and operational areas.
