Elby Professional Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Internal Auditor for a well-established Canadian industrial organization. The role involves hands-on operational and financial audits, risk analysis, and full audit lifecycle from planning through reporting and final presentations.

The position offers a competitive compensation package of CAD 80,000 to CAD 110,000, health and dental benefits, RRSP matching, and travel to plants in Canada/U.S. with flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in operational auditing, preferably in manufacturing.
• CIA or CPA designation, or in progress.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and auditing principles.
• Experience completing audits from planning through reporting and final presentations.
• Willingness to travel monthly to plants in Canada or the U.S.; valid passport and driver's license required.

You will work within a supportive team environment, gain exposure to multiple manufacturing facilities, and have a clear path for professional development and advancement.What our client has to offer:Compensation package ranging from $80,000 to $110,000Flexible and comprehensive health and dental benefits on a tiered planRRSP Match up to 4%10 work-from-home days annually and work-from-office allowance of $2,100 per year.A collaborative environment where professional development and mentorship are highly valued.Responsibilities:Conducting internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of the business operations including established internal controls and proceduresDeveloping and performing audit procedures including documenting business processes and procedures, developing audit programs, sample testing, reviewing and analyzing evidence, reaching conclusions, and identifying and defining issues and root causesEvaluating and providing reasonable assurance that control standards and governance systems are functioning as intended and in accordance with leading practicesDocumenting clear, concise, and objective auditing findings on the results of audits, including recommendations that add value to the businessDrafting the audit report and presenting the report to the Global Director, the Auditee and Management for validation and reviewQualifications:3-10 years of experience in an Operational Audit role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.CIA or CPA designation, or in process.Strong understanding of operational audit principles (not just finance).
