Job summary

Black and White Zebra (BWZ) is seeking a Senior Editor, Research & Intelligence to turn audience insights into content, products, and measurable growth. You will synthesize interviews, surveys, and market activity to shape editorial direction and subscriber growth.

The role focuses on building repeatable insight systems, guiding decision-making, and partnering across editorial, audience, product, and partnerships to drive results.

Qualifications

• Experience working with research, insights, or audience data to influence decisions.
• Strong interviewing and synthesis skills, turning conversations and data into clear insights.
• Ability to connect qualitative inputs and performance data to recommendations and next steps.
• Experience creating content, reports, or products based on research or insights.
• Experience designing and running surveys or structured research projects.

Responsibilities

• Build a clear understanding of our audience by leading how we gather insight about senior decision-makers across our brands.
• Run surveys and research to capture first-party data; synthesize editorial interviews and expert conversations; pull insights from events, community discussions, and market activity.
• Turn inputs into clear, usable insights and provide direction; combine internal data with partner insights; connect insights to recommended actions and leadership reports.
• Lead insight-driven content and research; develop reports, surveys, and content; collaborate with partners on co-created research; support experiences that convert readers into subscribers.
• Measure performance and make recommendations that drive audience growth; define metrics and track performance to guide decisions and next steps.
• Build a repeatable system for insight; establish a pipeline from input to insight to output; incorporate partner-driven insights into ongoing workflows.
