Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business or related field.
• 7+ years in compliance or regulatory affairs within financial services.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• CCO/CRCM or similar certifications preferred.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent financial services institution, is seeking an experienced and proactive Remote Senior Compliance Officer to join their dedicated team. This role is entirely Remote and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust compliance programs to ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and internal policies. You will play a critical role in risk assessment, policy development, and regulatory reporting, safeguarding the integrity of the institution. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of financial compliance frameworks, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage complex compliance initiatives from a distance. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive compliance programs for financial services operations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential compliance breaches.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., FAIS Act, FICA, POPI Act implications for financial services).
• Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote environment.
• Professional certifications such as CCO, CRCM, or similar are highly desirable.
