Job summary
Tecsys Inc. is seeking a driven Software Development Manager to lead teams responsible for the design, analysis and development of world-class Supply Chain Management solutions for Healthcare, 3PLs, and retail industries.
You will oversee SaaS development, deployment, and maintenance, guiding teams toward high performance and continuous improvement. You will drive agile practices, foster AI-assisted engineering, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Product Management and technical
Qualifications
- 5+ years in team and project management in a SaaS environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for teamwork.
- Experience in team leadership and change management.
- Experience in team expansion, including hiring, onboarding, training and supervision.
- Deep knowledge and experience of agile values and principles.
- College or Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline.
- Experience with SaaS is an asset.
- Bilingual
- Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead teams of developers, lead developers, software developers in test and quality assurance analysts
- Develop and communicate a clear, strategic vision and project goals
- Determine projects schedules, monitor timelines and ensure that milestones and goals are met
- Continually collaborate with Product Management and technical leadership to validate plans and ensure delivery of effective solutions
- Lead the team through the evolution of software development practices, including the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and workflows
- Oversee and facilitate efficient agile practices
- Help teams identify, evaluate and implement practical uses of AI to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and speed of delivery
- Nurture motivation and well-being within the teams
- Steer team career development, and see to training needs
