Job summary

AF Personal AG in Quebec is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a long-term care facility in remote areas. You will perform respiratory assessments and implement treatment plans, administering inhaled therapies as prescribed. Requires a Diploma in respiratory therapy, minimum 2 years hospital experience, neonatal and adult ventilation training, current RCR/NRP, and OR experience.

Fluency in French and ability to work independently or in a team are essential. Shifts: day-evening-night.

Qualifications

• Diploma in respiratory therapy.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy in a hospital setting.
• Neonatal and adult ventilation training.
• RCR and NRP up to date.
• Operating room experience and ability to assist the anesthesiologist and handle massive transfusion protocols.
• Member of the Quebec Order of Respiratory Therapists.
• Good ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work in remote areas.
• Knowledge of the French language (advanced level).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments of patients
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with respiratory disorders
• Administer inhaled treatments and prescribed medications
• Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust treatments accordingly
• Participate in educating patients and their families about respiratory care
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
