Job summary

The Newly Institute in Ontario is seeking Registered Psychologists or Associate Psychologists to join our growing clinical team as independent contractors. Flexible scheduling (1–4 days/week) and remote work options are available across Ontario.

We focus on a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach, delivering rapid access and outcomes for anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, addiction, and chronic pain. Ontario registration and doctoral training are required, EMDR/ART training is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mental health assessment/triage and treatment.
  • EMDR and/or ART training is an asset.
  • Experience with individual, group, and family counselling is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Psychological Assessment screens.
  • Perform advanced clinical services, including assessment, diagnosis and/or intervention.
  • Analyze and evaluate patient data and test findings to diagnose mental disorder.
  • Provide other services as mutually agreed upon.

ABOUT THE NEWLY INSTITUTE

The Newly Institute was founded to provide long-lasting change within the mental health industry, our community, and with our clients. We are leading a paradigm shift in the Canadian healthcare system by building a network of purpose-built mental health clinics across Canada. By fusing a bio-psycho-social-spiritual treatment model with medically managed therapies, our intensive outpatient programs provide rapid access, rapid resolution, and rapid return to work and healthy lifestyle programs for anxiety, depression, addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, and chronic pain.


This is an exciting opportunity for Registered Psychologists or Associate Psychologists to join us as we grow our clinical team in Ontario.



ROLE EXPECTATIONS


  • Complete Psychological Assessment screens;

  • Perform advanced clinical services; including psychological assessment, diagnosis and/or intervention;

  • Analyze and evaluate patient data and test or examination findings to diagnose nature and extent of mental disorder;

  • Provide such other services as may be reasonably required by the Company, and as mutually agreed upon



WHAT YOU BRING


Experience


  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health assessment/triage and treatment is required.

  • Experience using evidence-based trauma therapy, specifically EMDR or ART is an asset.

  • Experience with individual, group, and family counselling is an asset.

  • Equivalencies of experience may be considered.



Education


  • Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) in Psychology and registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario is required.

  • Professional training certificates in EMDR and/or ART are significant assets.



Background Check

Contracts are conditional, subject to clear police background check, inclusive of vulnerable sector check.
