Job summary

SimpliCity Digital Inc in Canada is seeking an Intermediate to Senior QA professional for a remote, part-time term: 6 months, 20 hours per week (Mon–Thu). The hiring budget is $32–$40 CAD per hour.

You will create test plans, run manual and automated tests across web apps, APIs, and integrations using Playwright or Cypress, validate AI output, and ensure WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility for municipal websites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in web app/website testing, manual and automated.
• Experience building testing processes and workflows.
• Proficient with Playwright or Cypress, API testing, and SQL.
• Able to read JS/Node/React code and build small tools.
• Familiar with WCAG testing and accessibility standards.
• Strong detail orientation and written communication.
• Curious about applying AI to testing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans and cases for platform and customer project implementations.
• Execute manual and automated testing across the lifecycle, including usability, cross-browser, responsive, and API testing.
• Verify release candidates and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with customers.
• Write and maintain automated test scripts in JavaScript/TypeScript with Playwright or Cypress.
• Define AI output validation for the content-migration pipeline and track AI vs manual work.
• Check migrated municipal content for accuracy, structure, and metadata quality.
• Perform web accessibility testing to WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Log and track defects in Jira, collaborating with teams on resolution.
• Provide QA progress updates and support quality-focused delivery.
