Job summary

Gore Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Field Claims Advisor, Property, to manage end-to-end property claims from a home base within the North GTA region, with access to a company vehicle and periodic visits to the Cambridge office.

You’ll investigate losses, assess coverage, document details, negotiate settlements, and coordinate with customers, brokers, and internal teams while upholding service standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years property adjusting experience.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Field Adjuster.
• In-depth understanding of building damage scoping practices.
• Detailed knowledge of 1st Party Property Coverages.
• Strong communication skills and de-escalation methodologies.
• Excellent customer service with multi-stakeholder management.
• Business acumen with time and desk management.
• Experience interpreting & applying contract law.
• Financial analysis, multitasking and clear communication.
• Experience and proficiency in Xactimate estimate writing is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned claims within designated territory with clear expectations and timely service.
• Investigate and document losses including site inspections, photos, statements, and documentation.
• Assess coverage and exposure, noting exclusions and subrogation opportunities.
• Administer claim requirements, forms, communications, and file notes.
• Coordinate vendors, track expenses, reserves, and payments.
• Contribute to catastrophe response and formal claim proceedings as needed.
• Perform rotational field attendance and end-to-end claims management.
