Job summary

The Canadian Red Cross is seeking a Program Manager—Community Planning & Resilience to lead planning, design and oversight of Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation programs. This remote role supports in‑country initiatives and requires collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities include program development, monitoring, and knowledge management to deliver culturally responsive, evidence‑based initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum 4–7 years experience in emergency management, social work, social sciences, psychology, health or related field.
A 3-year college diploma or university degree or equivalent experience is required.
Knowledge of Climate Change Adaptation and DRR, Anticipatory Action or Community Resilience programs.
Experience with diverse stakeholders including government bodies, community organizations, and funders.
Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and reporting frameworks.
Proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and oversee current and emerging Community Planning & Resilience programs.
Ensure alignment with DRR-CCA objectives and community needs.
Develop knowledge management, research, and communications for the program.
Monitor performance and drive process improvements.
Ensure compliance with policies, donor requirements and standards.
Build partnerships with community, government and other stakeholders.
Coordinate planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting.
