Placements24 is seeking a skilled Chemical Process Safety Specialist to join a globally distributed team, working remotely from Canada. You will develop, implement, and manage robust process safety programs to uphold regulatory compliance and safety culture across multiple sites.

The role requires 5+ years in process safety engineering, expertise in PHA, MOC, PSSR, and mechanical integrity, and strong communication skills for remote collaboration. Competitive package offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in process safety engineering.
• Knowledge of PSM elements: PHA, MOC, PSSR, mechanical integrity.
• Experience facilitating PHAs and incident investigations.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and remote engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain PSM systems and procedures.
• Conduct PHAs (HAZOP, LOPA) and risk assessments.
• Review MOC and PSSRs for safety integrity.
• Investigate process safety incidents and near misses.
• Develop and deliver process safety training.
• Audit compliance with PSM standards across sites.
