Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Principal Cloud Network Architect to join a distributed remote team. You will design, implement, and manage secure, scalable cloud networks across AWS, Azure, and GCP, enabling cutting-edge telecom services.

You will lead IaC efforts with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation, develop automation, mentor engineers, and ensure cost optimization and security across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in network engineering, with at least 5 years in cloud networking.
• Deep expertise in designing/managing networks in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, BGP).
• Container networking experience (Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
• Excellent scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash).
• Proven experience with network security in cloud environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant cloud certifications are a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable cloud network solutions across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Implement and manage VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Develop IaC for network deployments using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement network automation solutions to streamline operations.
• Ensure cloud network security best practices are applied.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud network issues.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams for seamless integration.
• Monitor performance and cost optimization in the cloud.
• Stay updated on cloud networking tech and mentor engineers.
