Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking an Intermediate Systems Specialist to join the Pension Implementation Team. The role focuses on testing, validating, and configuring pension calculations across North American markets, with 100% remote work and a strong emphasis on accuracy and collaboration.

You will work with actuarial, development, and business teams to verify configurations, improve testing processes, and ensure high-quality pension solutions for clients.

Qualifications

• University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or finance.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in defined benefit pension plan administration.
• Experience in calculation verification and/or implementation of pension plan calculation systems.
• Proficiency with pension calculation software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• VBA programming knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills and priority management.
• Ability to solve complex problems and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in teams and independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with functional leaders and business analysts to clearly define test scope and criteria.
• Analyze technical documents and configuration specifications to identify critical test scenarios.
• Execute calculation tests, verify results, and document detected anomalies.
• Maintain and enhance the test suite based on new features and system modifications.
• Participate in calculation review sessions and team meetings to validate configuration accuracy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (development, actuarial, business) to resolve identified issues.
• Propose improvements to verification and testing processes.
