Job summary

TELUS Health is seeking a pension calculation QA professional to join our remote team. You will collaborate with leaders and analysts to define test scope, analyze configuration specs, and execute calculation tests while documenting anomalies.

Qualifications

• University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or finance.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in defined benefit pension plan administration.
• Experience in calculation verification and/or implementation of pension plan calculation systems.
• Proficiency with pension calculation software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• VBA programming knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leaders and analysts to define test scope and criteria.
• Analyze technical documents and configuration specifications to identify critical test scenarios.
• Execute calculation tests, verify results, and document detected anomalies.
• Maintain and enhance the test suite based on new features and system modifications.
• Participate in calculation review sessions and team meetings to validate configuration accuracy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve identified issues.
• Propose improvements to verification and testing processes.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with functional leaders and business analysts to clearly define test scope and criteria
• Analyze technical documents and configuration specifications to identify critical test scenarios
• Execute calculation tests, verify results, and document detected anomalies
• Maintain and enhance the test suite based on new features and system modifications
• Participate in calculation review sessions and team meetings to validate configuration accuracy
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (development, actuarial, business) to resolve identified issues
• Propose improvements to verification and testing processes

What You Bring

• University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or finance
• 4+ years of relevant experience in defined benefit pension plan administration
• Experience in calculation verification and/or implementation of pension plan calculation systems
• Proficiency with pension calculation software
• Advanced Excel skills
• VBA programming knowledge (asset)
• Excellent organizational skills and priority management
• Ability to solve complex problems

Salary Range:

$65 000,00 - 85 000,00 CAD

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. We're open to discussing competitive compensation packages tailored to your experience level and expertise.
