Job summary

Jobgether in Canada seeks a MuleSoft Architect/Developer to lead API strategy and build scalable integration solutions in a fully remote, 12-month contract. You will guide architecture, develop APIs with MuleSoft, and mentor teams across Java, Salesforce, .NET, Oracle, and Snowflake.

The role requires strong API engineering, security design, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure reliable, scalable integrations while delivering performance improvements and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years creating and testing web services (REST/SOAP) with MuleSoft or similar technologies.
• 4+ years designing secure, scalable APIs with Anypoint Platform tools including Anypoint Exchange, Design Center, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Anypoint Studio, Data Gateway, and Access Management.
• 3+ years DataWeave 2.0 and Mule 4 in CloudHub.
• 2+ years CloudHub and Anypoint Platform for ESB and deployment requirements.
• Strong communication to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in fast-paced environments with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to gather requirements, design integration solutions, document architecture, and resolve complex challenges.
• Knowledge of API development best practices, deployment lifecycles, testing methodologies, and secure integration design.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, test, document, deploy, and maintain MuleSoft APIs and integration applications.
• Define and oversee platform architecture, deployment strategies, and integration practices.
• Develop secure RESTful and SOAP APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Mule 4, DataWeave 2.0, and CloudHub.
• Design and manage API solutions using Anypoint Exchange, Design Center, API Manager, and Runtime Manager.
• Establish API strategy, promote reuse, and develop core system APIs and connectors.
• Build and maintain integrations across Java, Salesforce, C#/.NET Core, Oracle, Snowflake.
• Design synchronous and asynchronous messaging, streaming, and file-based processing.
• Provide guidance on security, auth, API governance, availability, privacy.
• Review backlogs and designs to guide platform strategy and enablement.
• Troubleshoot defects, tune performance, resolve incidents, deliver fixes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and teams to deliver improvements.
• Review work of developers and vendors; mentor as needed.
• Support platform configuration, installation, and continuous improvement.
• Define and monitor non-functional requirements and SLAs.
