Job summary

Capgemini Canada is hiring for a senior API & cloud architecture role to define enterprise API strategy and governance. You will design scalable REST/GraphQL APIs and microservices, and lead API management across Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, or Azure API Management while enforcing strong security using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise APIs and governance.
• Strong knowledge of REST, GraphQL, and API lifecycle management.
• Hands-on development with Java/Python/Node.js in cloud-native environments.
• Proven skills in CI/CD, IaC, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise API architecture, strategy, governance, security, and reusable standards.
• Design scalable REST, GraphQL, event-driven APIs, and microservices architectures.
• Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS with high availability and security.
• Lead API management using Apigee, MuleSoft, Kong, or Azure API Management.
• Establish API security with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, mTLS, and AWS IAM.
• Implement CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, logging, tracing, and automation.
• Lead architecture reviews, modernization and governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with business/product teams and mentor engineers.
