Job summary

Hapiko, listed on behalf of a partner company, seeks an experienced ML Engineer focused on Trust & Safety in Canada. You will build safety systems for AI-powered products aimed at children, owning moderation pipelines and evaluation frameworks.

You will collaborate with ML, Backend and Platform teams to deploy safe content generation, optimize detection of harmful material, and continuously improve incident response procedures while expanding internationally.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in applied Trust & Safety engineering for consumer products.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain end-to-end content moderation pipeline for safety across stages of content generation.
• Develop and maintain safety evaluation frameworks to measure model performance and safety thresholds.
• Collaborate with ML, Backend and Platform teams to integrate safety into product development.
• Improve incident response procedures and operational runbooks for safety issues.
• Manage data retention, deletion, and other privacy/compliance aspects.
