Job summary

You’ll diagnose Linux issues, work with cloud and virtualization, and communicate with customers from a remote home office. The role emphasizes open source technologies, documentation, and proactive problem solving.

You will handle cases end-to-end, escalate when necessary, and contribute to knowledge base growth while supporting distributed teams on evolving software platforms.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a technical field or equivalent strong technical ability.
• Experience troubleshooting Linux systems with logs and stack traces.
• Familiarity with networking, virtualization, cloud concepts, and related infra tech.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support remotely from a home office for Linux, cloud, desktop, server, and IoT environments.
• Take ownership of new cases through multiple channels and manage through to resolution.
• Communicate clearly with customers, set accurate expectations, and escalate when needed.
• Troubleshoot by analysing logs, stack traces, and configurations, and document solutions.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles; draft technical notices for audiences.
• Participate in a scheduled weekend support rotation and travel internationally twice a year.
